(Prices quoted are from about midday)

27th January 2018 – In today’s Cryptocurrency Top 10 we look at; NEM as it moves steadily towards an ideal buy-in price and joins Cardano as the new crypto darlings, press the “buy now” button on Ripple and Bitcoin, and advise patience and caution on EOS, NEO and Litecoin.

You can check out yesterday’s Top 10 Altcoin update here, where we looked at Bitcoin, Ripple and Cardano with interest as they reached HNW’s preferred buy-in ceilings, and recommended holds on Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Stellar, while suggesting traders cash in on NEO, EOS and Litecoin.

Now, let’s get on with it…

Bitcoin (BTC) | 24-Hours – Up 3%

Current Price: $11,042 | Yesterday’s Price $10,755

HNW is still recommending a buy on Bitcoin despite it’s slight creep above the suggested ceiling of $11,000. We’re firm, as we have been all week, that Bitcoin is poised to begin its next upward trend towards the $20,000 and above mark. If you want to know more about why we see the altcoin alpha male doing tremendous things this year then sign up to our free weekly update, Crypto Millionaire, above.

HNW’s Recommendation: Once again, buy it while it’s in the $10,000 to $11,000 range at Binance.

Ethereum (ETH) | 24-Hours – Up 3%

Current Price: $1,068 | Yesterday’s Price: $1,038

Like Bitcoin (above), Ethereum has been on a slow upward trend over the past 24-hours. But unlike it’s pole position competitor, Ethereum’s price range is skating in the wrong rink for would-be buyers. HNW has held steady on a $400 to $700 price for entry on this coin. And for those who are already in and are perhaps feeling the chill winds of losses, worry not. There’s a fair share of volatility ahead, but we think all will come good in Q1 out to end of March.

HNW’s Recommendation: Hold if you’re already in. If not, be strong and wait for a price of between $400 to $700 before buying at Binance.

Ripple (XRP) | 24-Hours – Level

Current Price: $1.20 | Yesterday’s Price: $1.20

As we said yesterday, the tease is over (for now). Ripple sits in the buyer’s sweet spot, and we see this altcoin as potentially making the most (sustained) waves in 2018. HNW has held firm on the $1.10 to $1.20 buy-in range all week. We just hope folks out there take advantage of it and remember how Ripple pushed Ethereum out of second position (by market capitalisation) in early January, as its price touched $3.50 per coin.

HNW’s Recommendation: This is no time to sell at a loss. We recommend buyers looking for a sustained rise now consider Ripple as their huckleberry. As always, buy it at Binance.

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) | 24-Hours – Down 0.75%

Current Price: $1,590 | Yesterday’s Price: $1,600

The tale of the tape over the last 24 hours is a jagged journey between the $1,550 to $1,650 range. As noted yesterday, BCH continues to tread water near the mid-tier point of its last surge and, as predicted, remains steadfastly above HNW’s preferred watermark buy-in ceiling of $1,200. This is still the same coin that peaked at about $3,500 in the space of 10 days from 11th to 21st December. But right now, if you’re in you’re probably better staying put for the long haul. And if you’re outside and looking for a competitive buy-in price then check our recommendation below.

HNW’s Recommendation: Hold on if you’re already in. Wait for $1,200 and below if you’re not, then buy at Binance.

Cardano (ADA) | 24-Hours – Level

Current Price: $0.60| Yesterday’s Price: $0.62

Here’s our darling. Yeah, we’re gonna get some near-term stick for putting our necks out on this one but we see Cardano as a real goer this year, despite something of a boring week thus far. HNW’s suggested buy-in price threshold is noted below. Alongside Bitcoin and Ripple, we’re calling Cardano; the third best deal in the Altcoin Top 10 at the moment, a hold for those who already own it, and a buy for those who don’t.

HNW’s Recommendations: Play ball at HNW’s $0.55 buy-in ceiling over at Binance.

Stellar (XLM) | 24-Hours – Level

Current Price: $0.62 | Yesterday’s Price $0.61

We can only hope those holding Stellar just now bought in long before the current mid-tier malaise that’s now being experienced by this cryptocurrency. XLM remains a country mile away from any HNW recommended buy-in point.

HNW’s Recommendation: Up your Bitcoin, Ripple or Cardano (in that order) if you’re cashing in. If you hold, then be prepared for some ugly before it gets better. New buyers should wait for the $0.10 to $0.12 range. Then get it at Binance.

Litecoin (LTC) | 24-Hours – Level

Current Price: $177 | Yesterday’s Price: $176

The sideways trajectory continues for Litecoin (yawn), as it ambles along towards what we see as a few spikes and then a drop into a more realistic buy-in price. Following an impressive trip upwards to the $350 + mark in mid-to late December, we’re now sat at the mid-tier of that previous jaunt. If you bought in above the current price, stick with this one for a while. We’re betting on a bottoming-out period followed by a nice rebound in Q1. Potential buyers should check our recommendation below.

HNW’s Recommendation: The smart buy is at $55 to $75. The more adventurous might consider a stake at $100. As always, buy it at Binance.

EOS (EOS) | 24-Hours – Level

Current Price: $14.15 | Yesterday’s Price: $14.12

Yep, EOS has held its leap-frog position over NEO in terms of market capitalisation as reported yesterday, and we’re seeing an unusual price plateau right now – holding steady but not far enough down to call it a mid-tier correction position. EOS’s one-month (and even the one-year) price action still tells us little about the future direction of this coin. We’ve held firm that this is a wait-and-see coin for those on the outside looking in. If you own it you’re in cryptocurrency limbo right now.

HNW’s Recommendation: Stand back until there’s a return to the $3 to $5 range. As always, buy it at Binance.

NEO (NEO) | 24-Hours – Down 1.5%

Current Price: $135 | Yesterday’s Price: $137

We think yesterday’s $10 price swing was a sign of things to come for NEO. We’re sitting at the moment in a classic mid-tier price position following it’s recent peak on 15 January at $192. If you’re in then stay in. But if you’re out you might want to stay out…for the moment. This altcoin is one of the few that appears to take on long-ish sustained rises before the eventual fall. The downslide is en route, followed by what we think will be a strong and sustained return to the $150 plus range.

HNW’s Recommendation: The brave will see an opportunity at $75 per coin, but this is an ideal buy at $25 to $50 at Binance.

NEM (XEM) | 24-Hours – Level

Current Price: $0.85 | Yesterday’s Price: $0.85

The slow sustained slide for NEM continues; good news for eager buyers, not so good for those holding this coin and watching prices weaken. We’ve noted all week the rising interest in this cryptocurrency, and we expect NEM to become the crypto darling alongside Cardano in the Altcoin Top 10. Be patient now as we move steadily towards a more realistic buy-in ceiling (see below).

HNW’s Recommendation: If you’re already in you might want to stay the course and recoup on the next big upswing. If you’re on the outside, wait for that $0.50 ceiling to break, then get it at Binance.
